In the USA Rowan Atkinson is best known for his near-silent goofy role of Mr. Bean, the hapless, gormless and generally oblivious manchild with a limited intellect. It’s very easy to think that Atkinson would be somewhat similar, given his love for that role and his other ventures into goofball comedy, like Johnny English. However, Atkinson, by all accounts, is a quiet and fiercely intelligent man. He’s politically active in preserving free speech and gay rights. He has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Oxford. He’s also famously reclusive, rarely giving interviews, and listing his profession as ”engineer” on his passport.
Cindy Crawford Smarter Than You Think
To say that Cindy Crawford is still mind-blowingly gorgeous at 45 is the understatement of the century. She was arguably the most well known model fo the 90s, and possibly the most gorgeous woman of the decade — an even years later she’s utterly stunning. So, what about the brains? She was valedictorian of her High School class, had a 4.0 grade average, and was awarded a full ride to Northwestern to study chemical engineering. Getting a full academic scholarship to one of the best universities in the country is a pretty good indicator to me have some brains to back up those looks. Yeah, she dropped out after a semester to pursue modeling full time, but looking at how well she did out of it, strikes me as probably the right move for her.

See, I’d suggest you’d have to be not-very-smart in order to not only star in the Underworld movies, and then do an even worse vampire/werewolf crossover with Van Helsing. Plus, you know, Pearl Harbor. Despite being used mostly as eye candy in the movies she’s been in, Beckinsale was an accomplished writer as a teen. She twice won the W. H. Smith Young Writers’ competition — once for three short stories and once for three poems. While at University, she studied French and Russian Literature, but didn’t finish her degree, instead focusing on acting. Then again, maybe she’s not so smart: Click, Vacancy, Whiteout, and she’s even signed up for another Underworld movie.
Claire Danes Smarter Than You Think
Claire Danes’ Hollywood choices have been pretty mixed. She’s been in some great, great films: Romeo+Juliet, Shopgirl, The Hours, and also some utterly, utterly terrible ones: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Yeah, that was not a good movie. Not at all. Yet, even having been on screen since the age of 15, she still managed to get into one of the country’s most prestigious universities: Yale. she got Oliver Stone to write her a recommendation letter, and studied Psychology there for two years. Now, it’s arguable that she got in because of her name, the fact that she’s a legacy, and that she couldn’t hack it as she dropped out after two years to “focus on acting,” but getting that far is still pretty impressive considering many other actors out there.
Asia Carrera Smarter Than You Think
Asia Carrera was a prominant pornstar in the 90s and early 2000s who defied people’s expectations of adult entertainers by being blisteringly smart. How smart? IQ of 156, member of MENSA, performed at Carnegie Hall on the piano twice by the time she was 15, taught English in Japan at the age of 16, won a full scholarship to Rutgers University. Yeah, she’s smart. She decided to push back against the academic aspirations of her family, and instead went into skinflicks, but at the same time she was a major nerd — back before it was cool. She coded her website from scratch — which looks horribly dated now, but was cutting edge in the 90s. She also used to be a fixture in the Unreal Tournament community, which is pretty sweet.
Shakira Smarter Than You Think
My knowledge of Shakira is pretty shaky. It’s pretty much limited to the fact that she’s tiny, and that her hips apparently don’t lie. However, I’m informed by reliable sources (read: the internets) that she’s much smarter than your typical tiny popstar, and has an IQ of 140. Now, I haven’t been able to track down anything to back that up, but if true, that’s bordering on genius levels of the test — as fundamentally flawed as it is. As evidence of her intelligence, I point to her speaking three languages fluently, another three basically, is a major philanthropist for poor children, is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and has been honored twice by the UN for her work with children. Even if her IQ isn’t that high, she seems to be doing pretty smart things with her money and fame.
Stoya Smarter Than You Think
Stoya is another adult film star, but this time one still involved with the industry. And while she might not have the educational acclaim of some of the other entries on the list, she’s still one of the more eloquent commenters on sex, technology and alternative culture to be found on the internet. If you read her blog or follow her twitter, you quickly get the feeling that she’s an incredibly smart, well spoken and interesting person who really, really likes fucking. Interspersed with nudity she talks about hand-designing clothing, the impact of technology on the world, and is just a genuinely interesting source of information. Plus, her spelling and grammar is immaculate, which is something deserving of respect and admiration.

The 26-year-old star of "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Miral" was at Grauman's Chinese Theatre with cast members James Franco and Tom Felton, showing us she hasn't lost her red carpet touch. Always on the money, Pinto chose a stunning backless green number by Juan Carlos Obando and paired it with nude patent leather heels by Brian Atwood.
Frieda loves to hit the rug in strappy or short-sleeved numbers that highlight her toned arms. Thursday being no exception to this rule, her dress flaunted not only a perfect silhouette but its emerald hue set off her amazing complexion. What we love best about the outfit (aside from who's wearing it) is its asymmetrical hemline, which goes from knee-to-floor.
Hair was simply parted down the middle, giving center stage to her face. While eyes were heavily lined in black kohl, brown and peach shadow extended the drama. She topped it off with a crimson pout.

Actress Mila Kunis sent the mercury rising in a sleeveless rose washed satin dress with plunging neckline at her "Friends With Benefits" Berlin photocall July 29, 2011.
The dress, from Lanvin's Fall 2011 collection, perfectly showcased the 27-year-old star's tanned arms and legs. She matched it with burgundy closed-toe heels, a pair of danglers, and a solitaire necklace.
Her long brown tresses were asymmetrically parted, giving her face more definition. Liberal splashes of color on her eyes and cheekbones with a glossy pucker went well with the warm tone of the dress.

After Crystal Harris went on “Howard Stern” and said she’d only slept with Hugh Hefner once and that he was rather jack-rabbit-like in bed, some of the Playboy lothario’s other beauties are setting the record straight.

You may have missed an invitation to the upcoming Kim Kardashian wedding/Kris Humphries wedding.
People reports it arrived in its own box and is adorned with hundreds of jet black hematite crystals. There’s lots of fancy script announcing the couple’s names and the date — August 20th — as well as stating the affair will be black-tie (you have to tell rich people that or they show up in wifebeaters and flipflops).
The little easel-ready piece of art was designed by “invitationers” Lehr & Black. According to the client list on its site, L&B has also worked with Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, and probably a few other couples who didn’t wind up getting divorced later on.
The upcoming Kardashian/Humphries wedding will reportedly cost upwards of $10-20 million and of course be televised on the E! channel, home of the insipid “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
Kim has said she wants to out-do the recent royal wedding, so does that mean she’s also asked guests to donate money to charity in lieu of gifts as William and Kate did? Don’t be silly. That would be classy and tasteful!
So if you’d like to buy the happy couple a present, you’re welcome to get one of the items on their super-pricey registry. How about some Hermes dinnerware? Plates cost about $100, cereal bowls are $155 and cups and saucers are $225 per set. They’re asking for 18 of each.

Abhishek Bachchan Pop Then Dhoom
Abhishek Bachchan has asked YRF, producers of his next film Dhoom 3, for time off in November to be with his wife Aishwarya Rai and their new born.
Aishwarya and Abhishek's first baby is reportedly due in November, around the time Dhoom 3 was to begin production and Abhishek says "I want to be with Aishwarya at that time. It is my responsibility and wish."
A source tells Mumbai Mirror, "Abhishek wants to spend some quality time with his baby and wife before getting back to work. Hence, he requested YRF to postpone the shoot for a month or two."
YRF have readily conceded Abhishek's request and pushed back the film's start date.
So it's going to be Pop, then Dhoom. You can read that as Dhoom 3 will start filming after Aishwarya pops, or Dhoom 3 will start filming after Abhishek becomes a Pop!
Abhishek is ready to report for work from mid-December, but the filmmakers will have to ensure availability of locations and technicians, which may push filming start further to January.
As for other actors' dates, Uday Chopra has no other films on hand and Aamir Khan's parts were planned to be shot towards the end anyways.
A YRF spokesperson confirmed the new scheduling, but refused to term it as re-scheduling.
"Well, our schedule of Dhoom 3 has still not been finalized. So, it's a little premature to be discussing a postponement. And yes, most certainly we will keep in mind the arrival of joy in the Bachchan household while planning Abhishek's schedule."
"Aamir comes in only around April or May next year. As of now, he is busy preparing his character which is that of a gymnast."
In the new installment of the Dhoom franchise, Abhishek, 35, will reprise his role as ACP Jai Dixit, a no nonsense cop, perpetually chasing an elusive and slick thief (Aamir Khan) who is always one step ahead in the game. Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will direct. No female lead has been finalized as yet.
Aishwarya featured as Sunehri in Dhoom 2 (2006), but was paired with Hrithik Roshan.

Sonakshi Sinha: Curvy Delight at Ad Shoot
Sonakshi Sinha looked sumptuous in skinny jeans and black tee at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai late noon Thursday, July 28.
The 24-year-old Bollywood heartthrob, at the studio to shoot a commercial, flashed her endearing smile at photogs as she stepped out of her vanity van.
Her fitted tee had the words Hardrock Barcelona emblazoned at the front.
She accessorized with purple bow top rain proof shoes, messenger bag, oversized brown sunglasses, stud earrings and silver bangles in her right arm.

Shah Rukh Khan Dapper at D'Decor Ad Shoot
Shah Rukh Khan looked stately dressed in crisp white dress shirt and black pants as he arrived at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai late noon Thursday, July 28 to shoot an ad film.
"had a shoot for ajay (Arora) my friends awesome company d'decor. raining like mad in mumbai...want to dance in the rain...wish the kids were awake," Shah Rukh tweeted after winding up from the shoot late at night.
Shah Rukh back in perfect shape now having regained some weight; he had started looking gawky earlier while filming RA.One in London.
The 45-year-old star was his usual amicable self as he arrived, and cheerily posed for photogs.
Back in August 2010, Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan were announced brand ambassadors for Mumbai based D'Decor, the world's third-largest producers of curtain and upholstery fabrics.
The couple filmed an ad for the brand in Hyderabad in November. This time Shah Rukh was all by himself.
Shah Rukh, a self confessed workaholic who manages with barely 3 to 4 hours of sleep, often speaks about his love for work.
"There is nothing that makes me more happy than making films," he says.
On July 26, after wrapping his most ambitious project, RA.One, Shah Rukh struck a philosophical note on Twitter.
"ra.one shoot finally over. we start films so that we complete them fast...but when they finish there is a sense of emptiness as if a difficult but passionate relationship has come to an end." he tweeted around midnight.
"film making is like love....like falling from a building...but not feeling the impact or the hurt till you reach the end. here's to new beginnings...cos endings are just beginnings backwards."
The film is due in theaters on October 26.
David Beckham is a Great Big Softie
Like any new dad, David Beckham is completely obsessed with his newborn daughter Harper Seven. He can’t seem to stop saying hopelessly cute things about her, which is OK by us because listening to Becks talking about how much he dotes on his new baby makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Anyway, David has told Us Weekly how much he hates to be apart from his family, and it makes for super-sweet reading.
“We have been so lucky with her, and it was hard leaving them all the other day. It’s always hard leaving my family. Having a two-week-old daughter and leaving her, and leaving the boys and wife Victoria, it was difficult. I can’t wait to get back and to hold her and kiss her.”
David, of course, isn’t the only Beckham who is totally besotted with Harper – Victoria’s already said she’s fallen in love with her daughter, and David has revealed that big brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz adore their little sister.
“The boys won’t put her down. They won’t leave her alone, so I hope they are like that in 20 years.”
We’re not sure how much more cuteness we can take from the Beckham family before we explode!
Amy Winehouse Sudden Demise
The real cause of the death of the famous British soul singer last Saturday remains unknown – at least until the results of the toxicology tests come in, which won’t be until another week or two. But the family has reasons to believe that Amy Winehouse’s sudden demise may have been precipitated by a sudden withdrawal from alcohol.
A source close to the family informed Britain’s Sun that the 27-year-old singer had waved aside her doctor’s advice to effect a gradual withdrawal from her habit of sotting up on alcohol. The source said that Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse had offered an explanation of her death in his eulogy at the funeral. According to him, Amy had told the doctor that it was impossible for her to reduce alcohol consumption gradually –it was a case of “all or nothing” for her. She had stopped drinking and went cold turkey for about a month before her death. It was a great shock to her body and it may well have resulted in heart failure.
PEOPLE also reports that the family holds to this explanation of her death.
It has been noised around that Winehouse had a heavy drinking bout in the last days of her life, but these rumors have been denied by her father.
The abstinence shock, coming on top of her weakened constitution, proved the last straw on the singer who had been going through a difficult period of her life.
Amy Winehouse’s Dad Gives Her Clothes
Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch handed out items of Amy’s clothing and jewellery to fans outside her home in Camden yesterday.
Mitch Winehouse greeted fans camped out on Camden Square with old trinkets belonging to his daughter and clothes she used to wear. Mitch kept a pair of Amy’s famous pink ballet pumps in his back pocket throughout the hand-out – a touching tribute to his daughter’s memory.
One fan, who was given a red vest, told The Sun she would “cherish it forever”, while another woman put on a white vest belonging to the singer and told reporters, “Amy is my idol.”
Other admirers of the singer, who have been keeping a vigil outside her home, were given sunglasses and jewellery. One fan, who received a T-shirt, commented that the clothes were “small in size and very skinny, like her figure”.
Mitch then left in a taxi, pausing sadly to say, “God bless Amy Winehouse.”
Later that evening, Amy’s family and celebrity friends – including Mark Ronson and Kelly Osbourne – gathered at one of the singer’s favourite nightspots, Jazz After Dark, in a memorial event to celebrate Amy’s short life.
Amy often played impromptu gigs at the small venue, which was last night crammed with well-wishers and memorabilia. In 2009 Amy was photographed performing for a crowd at Jazz After Dark and chatting with the audience after the show.

Lee Dewyze Engaged
One-time American Idol winner Lee Dewyze is getting hitched. The 25-year-old crooner popped the question to his girlfriend, model-actress Jonna Walsh, 26, on a private yacht at Disney World in Orlando last week.
“I’m excited,” says DeWyze, whose July 16 proposal included champagne and a sky aglow with the booming of fireworks.
Why Disney World?
“Jonna is a Disney freak,” Lee explains. “They were playing love songs on the boat and I got down on my knee and asked her. I had a speech prepared but it all went out the window so I just asked her. She started crying and I said, ‘Is that a yes?‘”
The pair met last October, when DeWyze cast Walsh to star in his “Sweet Serendipity” music video. They’re planning a Fall 2012 wedding.

Katrina Kaif Spree with Singh is Kinng 2
Katrina Kaif is set to reprise her roles in sequels to the films Singh is Kinng and Namastey London, both with co-star Akshay Kumar.
Bollywood heroines rarely get to reprise their roles in sequels as their presence in the cast is usually ornamental. Examples of leading ladies being dropped from sequels abound: Murder 2, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai 2, Housefull 2, Jism 2 and No Entry 2.
With Katrina, it doesn't matter if her role is not central to the plot of the film, her presence in the cast, even when ornamental, is considered central to the success of the film! Which is not to suggest that all Bollywood films have a plot to speak off!!
Katrina, 27, and Akshay Kumar, 43, were first paired in Namastey London (2007). In the flm, Katrina plays UK born, Jasmeet Malhotra and Akshay, Arjun Ballu Singh from Ludhiana.
Singh Is Kinng, directed by Anees Bazmi, was Akshay and Katrina's third film together within a year. Set in Australia, it had Katrina playing Sonia, born and raised in Australia, and Akshay, a Punjabi villager, Happy Singh. The film made on a budget of $11 million collected $35 million worldwide.
While Akshay and Vipul Shah, producer of both the films and director of Namastey London, are trying to figure out which film should begin production first, Katrina is cool with either film.
"I was the 'hero' of Namastey London. That's what we all joked about since the story revolved around me. But, I had great fun doing Singh Is Kinng too. It's their call," Katrina told Mid-Day.
Vipul wants to start filming Namastey London 2 first, but Akshay is keen on working on the Singh is Kinng sequel.
"Akshay had made a promise to do a Singh Is Kinng sequel in front of the Indian Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh in Toronto, so he is keen we carry forward the story," says Vipul.
"I don't mind doing either one first. But yes, I've made more progress with the script of Namastey London 2. Akshay needs to grow a proper Sardarji's beard to play Happy Singh again. For that, he'd first need to finish all his current assignments," he adds.
Katrina is currently prepping for YRF production Ek Tha Tiger with co-star Salman Khan, which starts production on August 10 in Dublin, Ireland. Next, she will work on another YRF production, Yash Chopra's directorial comeback headlining Shah Rukh Khan. The film additionally stars Anushka Sharma.
Katrina will be next seen in the much anticipated YRF production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with co-stars Imran Khan and Ali Zafar due for release on September 9.

Although the actress didn’t comment on the gender of the baby but according to sources the guests gifted her pink coloured baby items, fuelling speculation that she is having another daughter.
Alba is busy preparing the child’s nursery and is in no hurry to complete it.
“The nursery isn’t ready. It’s not even close, but I’m accumulating things. In the beginning the baby stays with me in the room, so you don’t need the nursery ready so soon. We’re remodelling our house, so it’s going to take a few months. I’m really taking my time,” she said

With their monster noses out of joint, some Gaga fans are taking to Twitter to get personal with Adele, with some even stooping so low as to pick on the “Rolling in the Deep” star’s weight.

Madhuri Dixit channeled the 80's in sparkling motif embellished sari and curly updo at a press event to announce her new reality TV show Food Food Maha Challenge at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai on Wednesday, July 27. Her white sari had bold Paisley and floral appliques and golden sequin borders. She wore a cap sleeve blouse covered with golden sequins matching her sari's border.
She accessorized with flashy circular earrings and a ring each on both her ring fingers.
Her dark brown hair was styled in a curly updo with bangs framing her forehead and ringlets framing her face.
She wore bright makeup: shimmering mauve lipstick, thick liner on lids, lash extensions and golden eyeshadow. Red nails and a mesmerizing smile rounded the hot mama look.
The 44-year-old Bollywood sweetheart will co-host the show tag lined - Kitchen Ka Boss Kaun - with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
The show will tour cities across the country, pitting a local women's team against a men's team in a cookery contest.
Madhuri will team with a professional chef to mentor the girls, while Kapoor will mentor the boys. 
The 13-part TV series, produced by Fremantle India for Food Food channel, will be aired weekly, starting September.
Dixit is the lifestyle ambassador of the channel, and Kapoor its promoter.
Taylor Swift Scores Ultimate Choice Award At This Year
Taylor Swift will be honored with the Ultimate Choice Award at this year's Teen Choice Awards for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
The award is the show's highest honor; past recipients include Justin Timberlake, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Swift has six Teen Choice Award nominations this year in the categories: Female Artist, Female Country Artist, Country Single for her single Mean, Love Song for Mine, Break-up Song Award for Back to December and Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Female.
The fan voted awards show will be hosted by Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) and feature performances by Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez & the Scene and OneRepublic. It will air live on Sunday, August 7 from 8-10 p.m. on Fox.

Salman Khan Films Cameo for Hema Malini's 'Tell Me O Kkhuda'
Salman Khan will make a cameo appearance in Hema Malini directed and produced Tell Me O Kkhuda.
The film relaunches Esha Deol and additionally stars Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Madhoo, Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
"Salman Khan has been very gracious to be a part of my film "Tell Me O Kkhuda".What an adorable person!!!!" Hema Malini tweeted early morning on July 27.
Salman and Esha were last seen together in their 2005 film No Entry.
Tell Me O Kkhuda tells the story of a young girl (Esha) who is in search of her father (Dharmendra).
Esha, daughter of Dharmendra and Hema, will be sharing screen space with her father for the first time.
Tell Me O Kkhuda will bow in theaters on September 9, clashing at the box office with YRF production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

People struggle hard to pursue a career in modeling but supermodel Christie Brinkley is one such lucky girl who never set out to be a model and just went with the flow when it came to her career.
The 57-year-old beauty was one of the world’s most in-demand beauties during the peak of her career and youth but she insists, it wasn’t her lifelong dream.
Christie, who was discovered at the age of 19 revealed, “Sometimes I did think, 'Wow, this is working' but there was also always this feeling that the job was probably going to be the last.”

Pippa Miiddleton Inspires Baby Names & A TLC Special
TLC is cashing in on America’s obsession with Royal Sister-in-Law Pippa Middleton. The network that brought us Jon & Kate Plus 8 (They still owe us big time for that one…), is producing a one-hour special on the Middle Middleton Kid that will air next month, The Washington Post said Wednesday.
Look for the premiere of Crazy About Pippa on TLC Aug. 9.
Meanwhile, the girl whose ass inspired its own Facebook page (while prompting a rash of women to take up Pilates…) is now making a cultural impact in a much more enduring way. Apparently, Pippa’s name has risen drastically in the popularity stakes, too.
An analysis of 23 million page views of individual baby name pages on the baby naming website NameBerry.com shows that Pippa, a London party planner, is having a big impact on name selections. Pam Satran, creator of the site, says the number of searches for a particular baby name is a good indicator of how people will actually name their child, as opposed to data from the Social Security Administration, which tracks the numbers of babies with a particular name. The name Pippa (short for Philippa; it means “Lover of Horses…”), she explains, came to sudden prominence after Pippa Middleton caught the world’s attention when she donned a form-fitting dress to becom maid of honor at big sister Kate’s wedding to Britain’s Prince William in April.
Kim Kardashian Is Suffering from Psoriasis
We are too accustomed to seeing Kim Kardashian all spruced up with no lash or strand of hair ever out of place – as a more surprise came, then, Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that revealed the reality star’s struggles for perfection.
The episode showed the would-be bride afflicted by a skin disorder known as psoriasis (it’s when your skin goes reddish and flaky in spots). Kim’s mother, Kris, has had it since she was 30, and now the problem has passed on to her middle daughter at the same age.
The 30-year-old star is worried over the disease that mars her skin, more so that she is sure the tabloids are going to play it up big. In the episode she tells about the pressure she is experiencing in order to look her best and the ruckus that bursts out every time she gains an extra pound.
Well, she is quite likely to win the latest battle – psoriasis is easy to bring down unless the reality star gets overexcited, which may pose a problem to one who is in the midst of grand wedding preparations to tie the knot with Kris Humphries.
Us Weekly approached Dr. Eric Schweiger of Schweiger Dermatology located in New York who said that psoriasis is usually brought about by excessive anxiety, stress or general weakening. Scratches, burns and other accidents that break the skin can also cause flaking.
Daily applications of a moisturizer, Dr. Schweiger further pointed out, are of great help because they protect the skin barrier. Cream medications can be prescribed by dermatologists to treat psoriasis flare, or injections of special medications known as “biologics” if it proves a severe case. Laser treatment can also be recommended.
