In the midst of an ugly legal spat with her mother, Leighton Meester has reportedly been spending "a lot of time" with boyfriend Justin Long.
Leighton, 25, currently in New York filming Gossip Girl, has been visiting Justin, 33, at his place in the Lower East Side "and they have been spending a lot of time together," a source tells Page Six.
Leighton and Justin were first spotted together in May having dinner at La Poubelle in Hollywood. They reportedly spent two hours in the restaurant and left after midnight holding hands.
Justin earlier dated Drew Barrymore on and off for a number of years. The two co-starred in the film Going the Distance (2010).
Leighton has sued her mother, Constance Meester, for misusing a monthly allowance that Leighton has been paying to her for the care of her brother Alexander, who has severe medical issues.
Leighton has been sending Constance $7,500 every month because Constance doesn't work.
In her lawsuit, Leighton has alleged that Constance has been misusing the allowance for her cosmetic procedures and other personal expenses.
Constance also tried to extort money from Leighton, telling her daughter that there was an oral contract between them that required Leighton to pay her $10,000 every month for life.
Leighton says she has been paying Constance out of the goodness of her heart. She now wants her brother to come and stay with her, instead of Constance.
In a counter lawsuit, Constance has alleged that in December a crazed Leighton pushed her to the ground and repeatedly struck her with a bottle; Alexander intervened and pulled Leighton away.
