Hollywood actress Denise Richards added to the sweltering summer temperatures dressed in a floaty ensemble at New York's Barnes and Noble bookstore on July 26, 2011.
The 40-year-old stunner was on hand to promote her new book, "The Real Girl Next Door."
She opted for a sleeveless orange blouse, white skinny jeans, and a pair of tan heeled sandals. Hair was casually styled in long waves around her face. The blouse highlighted toned arms while the white jeans and sandals were just right for daytime glamor. Makeup colors were bright and cheerful, going well with her colorful top and deep blue eyes. Her clothes and hair basically said, "wholesome", Hollywood-style.
Denise appeared on NBC Today Tuesday morning to plug her book, where she also frankly discussed her feelings towards former husband Charlie Sheen.
"The man I fell in love with is very compassionate, humble [and] has a wonderful heart," she said. "And the behavior that a lot of us saw in the last six months is not the person I met and fell in love with."
The actress further related that she was compelled to have a talk with her daughters, Sam and Lola, over their father's drug abuse.
While continuing to protect them from the media, she told them certain things because they would have been eventually exposed to them from classmates.
Trying to conceal the truth from them only created more confusion, so she invested in a book dealing with the topic and sat them down to discuss it.
Richards had a lot of positive things to say about Charlie, whom she continues to love.
"He's also a survivor and if anyone can pull themselves together, it's Charlie," she says.
During the interview, the "Wild Things" star also discussed difficult subjects such as her past relationship with Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora and her late mother's battle with cancer.
Ms. Richards recently added to her family with the adoption of a baby girl, named Eloise.
